Follow Me… Leadership Style
If you have parented children you know the value of the phrase “monkey see, monkey do” and the way we parent our children can directly impact the way they experience leadership in the workplace.
Our relationships matter, 85% of people fired last year in the US workplace report it was due to conflict in relationships. 29% of a manager or supervisor’s time on average is spent dealing with personality conflicts.
Leading well through positive relationships in your work-team, improves outcomes and motivates your team to reach their goals.
Leading from a “Follow Me” perspective, is a biblically based idea, to lead from a place of humility and compassion. Caring for your team, is caring for your company.

"See One, Do One, Teach One..."
One of the most formative experiences in my life has been traveling to Haiti. In 2010 the devastating earthquake and quakes that followed left countless families homeless and vulnerable. The mission organization my church partnered with began building houses in response, right away.
It was incredibly humbling to be on one team that traveled there after the quake, lacking construction skills needed to do the work, I had doubts about being able to do anything in the face of the vast need I observed. However the mission organization leader, a dad to some pretty amazing girls, was determined to help me, help others. And by the end of the week there 8 houses gifted to 8 Haitian families. Each home would have a locking door, which meant moms and dads could sleep at night, their children would be safe.
Greg’s method of “See one, do one, teach one” equipped me to snip metal, cut boards, and help families find some security and hope. Following one man’s leadership many church teams came to Haiti to learn and grow and countless homes were built for grateful Haitian families.
Leaders, like Greg, have to trust their team to follow. Team members have to trust their leader to lead.
